Some members of our group had done the CPR Trail but many had not so we decided to give it a try. Both Bill and Florentia said it was a tough uphill grind but that didn't discourage anyone. Well, they were right! It was a tough uphill grind for about 3 hours. The trail was a bit tricky in places and steep but not too bad. We found plenty to photograph along the way - flowers, trees and scenery. The view at the lookout was great.
The downhill trip was hard on many knees and the footing was a bit tougher than going uphill. It always seems to be trickier going downhill and we had to take extra care in place - no one wanted to end up bruised or worse. It was a great hike and we were all proud that we survived. We probably won't repeat it soon but it would make a nice hike in the cool fall weather.
